Xbox 360, red power button!! Solved/Closed

Question

Hello, I have a problem with my Xbox 360. When I press the power button, nothing appears on the screen, yet I hear the fan noise, and the power button is flashing red. I have unplugged it, but it hasn't changed anything. I hope someone knows what this is about.

Honestly, no kidding, put your Xbox 360 in a (dry) towel without any disc inside and let it run empty for 30 minutes (in the towel, of course, well wrapped up)
and then turn it off and let it cool for the same amount of time, and normally it works.
There you go, man
a friend told me to do that, I didn't ask questions and the craziest thing is it worked... 1 hour later I could play without a problem

Hello,  Have you tried it without connecting the cable between your TV and your Xbox? One time it happened to me because of the VGA cable.

Check that the AV cable is properly connected to the Xbox 360 console.

Disconnect the AV cable from the Xbox 360 console, then reconnect it to the console.
If the four LEDs continue to flash, wipe the metal part of the cable with a dry cloth. The metal part is the end of the cable that plugs into the console. Clean the metal part completely and try again by connecting the AV cable to the console.
If the LEDs still flash after these attempts, try a new AV cable.

There are several solutions for repairing the XBOX 360 RROD, but the best and the only one that really works well is what we call the X-Clamp fix.

You need to change all the screws of the heatsinks and the thermal paste while cleaning the CPU and GPU thoroughly. You can also add rubber on the RAM; it may help.

Note that the result also depends on the condition of your 360; some are harder to recover than others.

Before all this, I recommend trying to send it back to Microsoft

Personally, I was playing online when suddenly the Xbox turned off and the 4 red lights lit up. I immediately unplugged the Xbox and a smell of burnt components escaped from the back of the Xbox. But when I turned it back on, there was no problem.
