Voice Tracer Issue

Hello,

I own a Philips Digital Voice Tracer 7655. It can be connected via USB to a PC to extract the recorded audio files using the Download Manager software provided with the device.

When I connect it via USB, the device is recognized (an external drive appears in My Computer, icons in the software become active).

The folder structure of the voice recorder appears as follows:

-VoiceTracer
-A
-B
-C
-D

In folders A, B, C, and D, I am supposed to find the audio files, but they remain hopelessly empty.

In My Computer, when I try to access the device, I receive the message "The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error."

In Device Manager, the device is recognized, and apparently, the drivers are up to date.

In the readme of Download Manager 3.2, I believe I understand that this version of the software is not compatible with my device... which seems unlikely since they were provided together!

So I would like to know how to access my files on the voice recorder and retrieve them. If anyone has a link or actually the software in a version prior to mine, I would be very grateful.

I have this device for professional reasons and will use it with Dragon NaturallySpeaking to write reports automatically.

Thank you, I remain available for any further questions.

Vincenzo201.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 3

I have the same problem with a VoiceTracer 600.
The device appears in the list but the content is empty and Windows reports a problem.
