Hello,
here is my problem, I downloaded the latest update for my PS3 (version 2.35) and I put it on a USB stick by creating a PS3 folder and an UPDATE subfolder. So far, so good, once the USB stick is inserted into the PS3, I go to settings, update, storage media connection and the scan starts and then it shows me the following message: NO APPLICABLE UPDATE DATA FOUND.
What should I do to fix this annoying problem?

To update your system:
1- Create your "PS3" folder
2- Then create an "UPDATE" folder inside it
3- Place your downloaded file (PUP format) from the official site: https://www.playstation.com/fr-fr/
4- Insert the USB key into your PS3
5- Perform the following steps on the PS3: settings > update > mass storage connection
6- Then let yourself be guided. -

Re hi, it's good for the update, I succeeded but I'm trying to register for PlayStation Network. When I enter the ID online, it tells me I can't use it and no matter how many I try, it always says the same thing. However, I'm following all the instructions to the letter.
If you can help me, that would be cool.

Hi, I still can't manage to update!!!! (I have version 2.41 and I need to put version 2.42 to play Call of Duty 4 online) Since you said you succeeded, could you tell me how to do it??? Please!!!! (BECAUSE IT'S DRIVING ME CRAZY!!!!!!) LOL

What I would like to know is, did you manage to get internet on your PS3? (I think you did because --> PS: It shows me "connection problem with the server", just for confirmation)
If so, the problem might be this one:

I successfully downloaded the 2.41 update on a USB stick; the download starts well on my PS3
but during the final installation at 4% it gives error 8002f147 every time

I've never had that, (because I do my updates via Wi-Fi, but I do them for my brother via USB and he's still on 2.40 currently),
but what I would suggest is to download the same update but from another site (or even several, as long as they seem at least somewhat reliable), because maybe there was an issue during the download (that wasn't detected and reported).
I was wondering since your update is "corrupted," does the installation cancel itself and does your PS3 still work just as well?

I have a problem with my update. It went correctly, I then turned off the console, later I wanted to turn my console back on, and there is a connection issue between the TV and the console (no image appears even though the console is "running").
I can't find update 2.41 on the Sony website.
Do you have a solution???

I suppose that when you turn on your console you hear the sound but don't see the image, if that's the case I have two solutions:
-*- If you are using an HD screen you probably connected your PS3 via HDMI, what I assume is that your settings have reverted to default, so take the SCART cable out of the box and normally the picture will come back, you will just have to redo the settings to use your HDMI cable.

-*- There has been a small issue with the image settings, use this solution below:

So, I would suggest that a kind soul downloads the firmware for you, maybe a friend of yours who has internet, if of course you actually have one, lol (on this site http://ps3-mania.over-blog.com/article-21088545.html and puts it on a USB stick for you, but I think (whoops, careful :-) ), that if you've managed to contact me, you might be able to download it and put it on a USB stick (or an mp3),
libraries offer interesting prices for surfing (free for students), and thus download the update (more interesting than cyber cafés, at least around here).
Second solution, go directly to someone's place (who has internet) with your PS3 and install the update.

Dis-moi, c'est quoi ta MAJ et je voudrais savoir comment connecter ma PS3 avec mon PC si je parviens à me connecter à l'aide d'une clé wireless que je dois bientôt avoir (si possible). I wanted to make a little joke :-) Anyway.
So UPDAT ---> Update, as for connecting your PS3 to your PC I'm afraid I can't help you (I haven't tried yet, as I don't need to)

, however for connecting your PS3 (built-in wifi) to your internet service provider (for example, livebox), I might be able to help as it's quite simple, however there are probably two or three topics on this subject that answer it very well, so I wouldn't want to just copy, so I'll give you some links that might answer your question:

To connect your PS3 there’s an easier way but they can still help you, what I did was go to "settings", "network settings", "internet connection settings", "easy" then you choose the connection "by cable" or "wireless" (I’m on "wireless") so you click on wireless then "scan" you select your ISP or if you prefer your router (Internet Service Provider).
After the most difficult thing :-) (well not really) you enter your WEP key, it’s written on the internet box you installed (normally there are about 26 characters, for me the code matched the security key) one piece of advice take your time entering the code, at the slightest mistake you'll have to re-enter the code, and then your PS3 should display your internet settings, press X, test the connection and then you'll know if it works (normally yes).
Finally, if everything works, you just have to do the last UPDATE ^^ go to "Settings" and "System Update" and select via internet.
Second part of the answer.
As for entertainment with your PS3, there's the gaming section, downloadable themes from the internet, the multimedia function ---> which manages files on the PS3 and files on PC, if you installed software like Winamp which manages media servers over wifi.
The interesting function is being able to download game demos made available.
ALL of these functions are very well explained in several tutorials that you should be able to find without too much trouble.

Hello super Didi, I have a question for you. Well, actually I just connected my PlayStation to the internet, so the internet works fine on my Play, I go on Google and everything. But when I try to sign up for PlayStation Network, it tells me to update in system settings. So I go there, I start the update not via USB key but through the internet, but after 30% it gives me error 8002147. I don't know what to do, I've tried ten times now and it's really frustrating. To successfully install the new update, if you can't do it, uninstall your game and then reinstall it, and it will work. I tried it and it worked, there you go. See you!

Pourquoi tu es obligé de télécharger la dernière mise à jour via une clé USB ? Tu ne peux pas la télécharger en allant dans Paramètres puis Mise à jour du système via Internet et voilà.

How to manually update your PS3
It's not very complicated to update your PS3 firmware. First, you need to download a firmware (definitely higher than the one you have. To know your current firmware, go to system information on the console). Then you will end up with a PS3UPDATE.PUP file.
First thing, you will need to create a folder on the flash drive (USB stick, SD memory card, or other), this folder must be named UPDATE and you will place it in the PS3/ folder.
So you will need to put the file PS3UPDATE.PUP in the following path PS3/UPDATE
Once the file is installed in the right place, go to your PS3 and select update via storage media. Note that if you turn off the console, it will be permanently dead, so be careful.
Once finished, your console will be upgraded.

When I try, my PS allows the download to a memory stick but only confirms the success of the download, and I can never find it when I leave my browser. I'm a novice and not very skilled, and I really don't know what to do... Can you help me please?

So I'm just repeating a bit of what you said to see if I understood everything correctly (to avoid pointless discussions), the problem when you download (a theme, a video, a demo, etc.) is that it only offers you one option which is your memory stick for storage (is your hard drive full? if you don't know go to "Settings" then "System Settings" and then at the bottom in "System Information" I don't think your PS3 60GB is full unless you have played a lot of games and put a lot of videos on it),
when you allow the thing you want to load, do you put the download in the background ("Run in Background") or do you wait until the download is finished? If you put it in the background it automatically goes into the "Network" icon (just next to Playstation Network) in "Download Management" and you can see the download progress by clicking on it.
I think you want to download game demos, I tried but I couldn't do it like you, which is to put it on a memory stick, so I can't tell you how it works (I tried on a USB stick and an external HDD).
Have you tried with an external hard drive? because maybe your memory stick is not powerful enough to store what you want (well I think it would tell you)
