Missing PDFMAKER Files

Just a quick note, if you still can't activate it after the operation mentioned above, delete it and reactivate it:
- Go to --> delete the pdfMaker --> add (search for the path: c:/programs/adobe/acrobat/pdfmaker/office/...) --> OK !.

That should do the trick!

Problem:
Under Office 2003 and Vista, when you right-click on a Microsoft Office file to convert it to Adobe PDF format, the application returns the message Missing PDFMaker files and does not create an Adobe PDF file.
Details:
This error may occur when you try to convert files from Microsoft Office 2003 (Word, Excel, Publisher).
Your system may have just run an automatic search for updates (for Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office, or Windows).

Solution:
Remove Adobe PDF from the list of Disabled Items in the Microsoft Office application.

Managing your list of Disabled Items in a Microsoft Office application:
1. Open the Microsoft Office application (Word, Excel, Publisher).
2. Select ? (Help) > About [application name].
3. Click on Disabled Items.
4. In the list, select Adobe PDF and click Enable.
5. Exit the Microsoft Office application, then restart it.

If the message continues to display once you have enabled Adobe PDF, check the macro security level in Word:
1. Select Tools > Macro > Security.
2. In the Security dialog box, click on the Security Level tab.
3. Select Medium security level or High security level.
4. Proceed in one of the following ways:
o If you selected Medium security level, click OK.
o If you selected High security level, continue to steps 5 to 7.
5. Click on the Trusted Publishers tab.
6. Check the box "Trust all installed templates and add-ins."
7. Click OK.
PDFMaker and the context menu accessible by right-clicking should function again.

Cause:

When Word crashes due to a third-party application, it disables its plugin.

Solution:

To enable the plugin. Here’s how to proceed:
1) Right-click on Winword.exe (C:/Program Files/Microsoft Office/Office12/Winword.exe) -> Run as administrator -> Continue
2) Office Button -> Word Options -> Add-ins -> Go... -> Check "Adobe PDFMaker Office COM Add-in (C:/Program Files/Adobe/Acrobat 9.0/PDFMaker/Office/PDFMOfficeAddin.dll)

Restart Word normally and there you go, Cappuccino!

First of all, you need to run Word as an administrator by right-clicking on C:/program files/microsoft office/office12/winword.exe. Go to Word options, then to add-ins, and reach COM add-ins. You will notice that pdfmaker is not loaded. Select it and remove it. Then, add it back by browsing to the address
C:/programfiles/adobe/acrobat/pdfmaker/office/pdfMofficeaddin.dll.
Select it and exit Word, then restart it normally. And there you go, it's done.

I installed PDFmaker, PDF creator, and Ghostscript in order to convert my Word files with bookmarks into PDFs with bookmarks. The problem is that when I click the button to edit in PDF, actions are performed (and I can see in the virtual printer queue of PDF creator my document waiting for a while), but in the end when it finishes, I can't find my PDF anywhere. Does anyone have an idea where it might have been saved?

We had the same issue on a user workstation in Office 2003.
The user's profile was renamed and then a new profile was created.
This resolved the issue.

The activation manipulations...Not having worked for me, I succeeded with this manipulation:

Hidden panel on the right of the desk>All settings >System >Applications>Features>Adobe Acrobat DC>Modify>Modify>Next>Modify>Install

Repeat the same manipulation >...>Microsoft Office 365>Modify>Modify>Yes>Online Repair

Restart

I had the same problem, everything was enabled, the add-ons, etc.

And I even reinstalled my whole computer. Nothing worked.

But....

I let Adobe's automatic updates run, and then miraculously, the add-ons appeared and it worked wonderfully.
