Hello,

Last night late in the evening, I wanted to make a transaction with La Banque Postale and track a Colissimo shipment on La Poste.

For the two-factor authentication, my smartphone was off, I thought to myself, too bad, I'll take care of it tomorrow.

It backfired on me! Neither of the two sites are working today, without really knowing the reason.

Hoping that the services will be operational as soon as possible.

This couldn't have happened at a worse time during the holiday season!!!

    Hello,

    Thank you for the responses.

I was not there that day, only home for 1 hour between noon and 2 PM; I'm back now, therefore, I had no TV information, newspaper, or internet news.

After a struggle, I just tried to connect successfully again, even though it was loading with the credentials.

    Postal Bank:

    Works on PC and smartphone.

    The Post:

    It works on PC.

On smartphone, I can't do it yet.

Not a big deal, I can still track my Colissimo on PC, hoping it arrives on time, also hoping to receive the SMS because I have a code to give.

We still need to know if the data, credentials, and passwords from his account are not being diverted on the dark web.

And while waiting for confirmation from the media or others, if it is indeed a ''distributed denial of service'' (DDoS) and who did it!

It’s a lot of hacking attempts between banks, ISPs, Pôle Emploi, and so on...

Yesterday, for example, the Caisse d'Épargne bank explained that the password for new clients would be refused with birth dates 1940 - 1968, for example; moreover, my neighbor just told me that this morning access was not possible but it seems to be back to normal.

There is still a security problem with all these organizations, even if two-factor authentication has been implemented, and sometimes it's a hassle between SMS codes for confirmation.

In the end, it’s always the customer who pays the price!

Especially on my side since FREE was hacked (even if it was internal), I’m receiving more than ever spam in my Zimbra inbox, even if this is not my main inbox, I use another one but my email address is the same; I keep it because I have no other choice if one day I leave FREE, this one is valid for life, which I asked to FREE proxy.

Of course!!! By the time I edited this message, guess what?

    Without comments!

      Good evening,

      -

Indeed, at this hour before giving my passwords, I always have this warning:

      -

Thanks again, pistouri and the others, of course, for the alert.

      Hello,

This same message is still present once logged in and especially after the connection was restored (Postal Bank, on PC and Phone).

This is a bit confusing (unless the identification + password connection issue comes back), I think it throws the customer off a bit, but if it works we’ll overlook the message, and it will eventually disappear.

Duration of the outage --► + or - 8h00 (even last night it was chugging along a bit, probably the onset of the hacking if that's the case, but it required the identification code, so it was functioning, however briefly when you know the outcome).

It's unworthy for a historic bank in France, without criticizing the IT security team of the Postal service or the Postal Bank.

Let’s not even talk about the Livret A, and God knows the French use it a lot!

It’s losing value, there are other alternatives possible to earn money in capital gains, I forgot the name of this bank, it’ll come back to me, it’s worth it, maybe seen in a CCM newsletter, but that's not the point.

And if that happened to CCM, what would happen? (For security reasons)..

Malekal (for those who remember) suffered the loss of its data which I highlighted a few years ago (OVH) following a fire, or PC Astuces which also lost its forum messages.

As a member, only the messages would be lost, but everything else, like for example tips/solutions sheets, what would happen?

Lost forever, redoing them (it’s hours of work depending on the tips).

I suspect that the CMM team has a backup, double backup, thinking of what Malekal is going through (we're not safe from anything, fire or hacking) and especially good security, but as we see even government sites have been victims, even if we're told what we want to hear, I’m thinking particularly of the Pôle Emploi site.

In short, like others, one day it's such-and-such a site, another day it's another site and not the least that suffers the whims of hackers.

      Final words:

We're living in a crazy world on the internet, CCM, banks, ISPs, Pôle Emploi with their sites or smartphone apps, always a needle or eel in a haystack to create chaos coming from a malicious intent, as they say stolen data, it brings a lot to some, the cat and mouse game will endure like trafficking.

      Good evening everyone,

Currently (9 PM), laposte.net is working (emails), but the postal bank is still down.
I can't help but be particularly pissed off at the idiots who launched this denial of service attack.
It doesn't bring anything. It's just to be a pain in the ass!

      CCM,

In the closing remarks, I may have been a bit strong in the batch, no hacking so far, but I would like (idea) for that, no matter the paraphrase, to be indicated somewhere, for example in the charter or elsewhere.

      Food for thought.

It deserves an explanation (More visibility).

Take this opportunity to wish you all to make the best of your Christmas shopping:

Online for example (secure).. Many of you or your loved ones act this way.

Good or bad idea (internet), I leave you to make your own choice.

      Nothing else to add.

      * Simply wishing you happy holidays at the end of the year.

      Hello, Hi Pierre 10,

Justified anger Pierrot, I can't add unkind words but it's just as much to emphasize the anger not only with the holidays approaching (Christmas in my case) but also for the pending orders (Colissimo).

      Postal Bank Connection:

I confirm that I have access on the Postal Bank website on PC.

With Firefox, it was messing up quite a bit, try it with another browser, which you might have attempted/ tried. (with ad blockers enabled or not, it’s not them).

Maybe the problem is not 100% resolved.

Look at the image below, I am connected to the Postal Bank following your post for verification.

Try again, no need for me to remind you to clear the cache or delete the history.

You did well to post if the problem persists, aside from my advice, I'm not responsible if behind the scenes, the IT guys at the post/Postal Bank are doing their best to resolve the issue.

Just because I can get through doesn’t mean you won’t, try, try, try again, tomorrow too (You're with Free like me) no reason for failure. You’re going to make it, tomorrow will be another day, and not a never-ending day.

In any case at this hour if there are connection problems (PC) wait a bit, if not in a hurry like me who has a package pending.

      Keep us updated.

I wish you success in getting connected.

It’s a real mess with the Postal Bank or the post (for me phone connection still can’t confirm, normal, I turned off the phone).

In the meantime, things are a bit messy to fix all this.

Damn! We are waiting for explanations, no false pretenses about what is happening or has happened, on the Postal and Postal Bank side. (since it’s messing up).

And I fear as already mentioned, a password change message received by email - PC or Phone SMS) (with added secure two-factor authentication).

      Let’s see what happens?

      !!

      @+

    Hello everyone,

Everything is working well today, including tracking on PC and smartphone.

I took the initiative to strengthen my passwords for the postal service and the postal bank, which are a bit weak according to my password manager; it's still an improvement...

In any case, I didn't know this, but the group Noname057 is not new to this game!

The Noname057 group has already been involved in denial-of-service cyberattacks by overwhelming digital services with requests in France, targeting official sites such as the Ministry of Justice and several prefectures and cities in France. Last July, the Paris prosecutor's office announced that the central service of this collective, implicated in nearly 2,200 attacks in France since 2023, had been dismantled.

The group does saturate services, but it wouldn't be called hacking per se, which could be compared to a monstrous traffic jam on the way back from the beach :-)

    Bad news:

Even if it was more or less predictable!

==► The prices of the Postal Bank will increase in 2026

I mark the subject as resolved.

        Hello,

Often to the right and left, with little time to watch the news on TV, I have bookmarked some news sites that I check out from time to time, sports and space science, and a bit of computing to keep up with the latest news.

I want to take this opportunity to thank you all for your responses and comments.

I may end up getting a smartwatch, I would like to but unfortunately it’s impossible for me to wear one, some of you know why, by the way, Santa Claus didn’t hesitate to get me this Trust Yuno that’s easy to handle :-)

With a dongle on my PC:

Wishing everyone a great New Year’s Eve...

        Hello,

The La Poste and La Banque Postale websites have been back up since yesterday on PC and smartphone.

Only a banner informs that the incident is ongoing even though the sites are accessible.

        La Poste :

        La Banque Postale :

        Have a nice weekend everyone.

          :-)
