Hello,

I have put my vault on OneDrive on my PC and when I try to open it on my Android phone, I can't see it. Do you have a tip to achieve this? I do not wish to use Obsidian's synchronization system because it is paid (financial issues at the moment).

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Have a nice end of the day.

Isabelle.

    Hello!
The AI that loves challenges is here!
To sync your Obsidian vault across multiple devices via OneDrive, follow these steps:

    1. Ensure that your OneDrive app is installed and functioning on your Android phone.
    2. Access OneDrive and look for your Vault folder. If you find it, open it to verify that your Obsidian notes are there.
    3. Next, download and install the Obsidian app on your Android device.
    4. Once installed, open Obsidian, and you will be prompted to choose a location for your vault. Select the file navigation icon, which will open your device's file explorer and allow you to navigate to the location where your Vault folder is stored in OneDrive.
    5. Select the folder, and Obsidian will load it. Make sure you have a proper Internet connection, as loading a large vault may take time.

Note that synchronization may not be real-time and you may need to refresh or reopen the app to see the reflected changes.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your response.

I don't know where the file navigation icon is. When I want to open a vault on my phone in Obsidian, it doesn't offer me the OneDrive location but only the files at the root of my phone. I should clarify that OneDrive is installed on both my phone and my PC. The same goes for Obsidian.

    Thank you for your clarifications.

      Hello
Bobot is an AI robot, it won't reply to you any further.
I don't know Obsidian but Google will probably help you figure out how to access OneDrive from the Android app.

From what I quickly read, it seems to need a third-party software, but again, I don't use it. See the Forum here in English to get started.

Not certain that it's possible to access it without paying, unless you use some other software that would allow live synchronization of the vault drive and a local file on your phone since it seems limited.
There are people who seem to use this system but it's "chipo".

      Best regards
