Hello
When I import my latest videos into Pinnacle 26, there's no longer the MP4 soundtrack, making it impossible to make a movie! I don't understand why?
- How to import photos into Pinnacle Studio 14 and get...
- Scrolling credits with Pinnacle Videostudio (free version)
- Pinnacle Dazzle DVD Recorder Driver Installation
- Unable to import mp4 or mts files with Pinnacle Studio 15
- USB converter Magix Video or Pinnacle Studio 9
- impossible d'importer le fichier vidéo dans Premiere Pro

Hello, you still haven't told me the format and the definition of your files because the .MP4 extension of the MPEG container, which also contains audio files, says nothing about the audio codec.
Right-click on the image and properties, and send me a copy of the text.
If you purchased the software, when you registered, you received all the useful codes for the codecs for video editing, except... I don't think any other software does better as you read the maxim at the bottom of the message, I'm ready to change my mind.
To "prove by 9," you have on Windows 10 and 11 in the applications the Microsoft Photo software with its integrated editing module "Clipchamp," do a test.

Hello, please provide us with the format, resolution, and source of your video, along with a little "thank you for the reply."

Hello
These are just simple videos taken with my Redmi phone, downloaded without any sound issues in MP4 format on my computer.
When I try to import them into the project bin, the audio track (from Pinnacle Studio 26 Ultimate) is missing. It's not a problem with the sound level settings.
I've been struggling for two days, and I've also contacted Pinnacle support.
If you can help me... thank you very much for your reply.

Hello
I tried with other videos downloaded the same day when I import them into Pinnacle one has sound and the other doesn't! It's a crazy story
The technical service of Pinnacle is looking into it as well... I sent a complete audit of my computer and a system information file... otherwise I'll need another editing software.... it's a shame because I'm used to it and I think it's very good.
Thank you very much for your responses

Hello
I took a screenshot in PDF
How can I send it to you?
VID-20240730-WA0001.mp4 AVC1 codec without sound
VID-20240730-WA0001 with sound on the computer!
VID_20220528_152859.mp4 AVC1 codec with sound
Do you need any other information?

I don't understand... who he is and what audio codec?
So what do you advise me to do?
Thank you for your response.

Hello again
The video that has sound upon import has an AAC audio codec
and of course the video that arrives without sound has no audio codec
Initially on my computer, in the audio properties of this same video, I have:
Bitrate 319Kbits/s; channel 2 (stereo); audio sample rate 48000KHz
Unbelievable such a thing!
Thank you for continuing to search with me

All my videos come from an external hard drive. Could this have any consequences?
However, when I watch them, I have no problems!
The ones that play with sound come from movies I made earlier.
Could there be something to change in the import settings?
I'm importing from my phone with the Any Where app.

Hello again
I believe I found the cause: the videos that play without sound correspond to the videos taken with my son's phone!! I tested the videos taken with my phone and there were no issues!!!
You were right, it must be a format that Pinnacle does not recognize, at least for the audio track.
The problem now is how to change the format.
I ordered a new camcorder to avoid using the phone; what format should I pay attention to?
Thank you very much!

Hello, I think you're making slow progress in video. We notice that the downloaded videos from unknown sources cause bugs because in the mpeg4 container there is a lot of data in addition to the video stream, such as audio, which prevents the files from being reused for another edit.
As I suggested, using another free software to prove that Pinnacle is less effective would also be a revelation for me.
For your phone, I automatically transfer my videos from my phone to "Google Photos," 15 GB free, which I then save in Pinnacle Capture. I do not download anything from other sites for security reasons. If I find a video of interest on YouTube that I want to include in an edit, I use the "multi-camera" module of Pinnacle.
Regarding purchasing a camcorder, why not? The common formats are mpg4 with AVCHD "H264" codec and the more recent HEVC H265, which is more efficient for 4K. As they say, you have the choice in the menus.
I use a compact expert camera, Sony RX100M3, with an ocular viewfinder and a 1-inch sensor.
My camcorder is more often in the closet; it’s more ergonomic but less discreet.

hello again
I got too excited too quickly! It's the videos from WhatsApp that lose the sound regardless of the phone they originated from!
I took a video with my phone that I transferred, and now it works!
What should I do?
Normally, WhatsApp videos automatically load onto my phone, which I then organize and transfer to my hard drive.
Are you still willing to help me?
If so, thank you very much, I would like to solve this problem....no results from the Pinnacle technical service.

So there you go, I made a video that I sent via WhatsApp to my son, he received it with sound.
I asked him to resend it to me via WhatsApp: it no longer has sound on Pinnacle.
So I think my problem is no longer Pinnacle but WhatsApp that might be changing the sound format??? !
Who could help me if it's no longer a software issue but a WhatsApp one?
Thank you

Hello, I suppose that just like Watt with a coding system, there must be decoding errors. In life, one must be pragmatic. I also had a problem with sending large files; the return for me was good, but failed for other sends.
Test it, for example, with WeTransfer.

Thank you very much for not letting me down! I will test this and I promise to keep you updated. My children are coming during the Christmas holidays, I will have help for WeTransfer!
Have a good day

Hello
First of all, I would like to wish you a very happy 2025, may it be filled with little joys for you and for all those you hold dear.
I am keeping my promise to keep you informed: my son managed to solve his audio issues. I am attaching the copy of the email I sent to the technical service of Pinnacle.
After several emails asking for help that did not resolve my issue!
I would like to inform you that I found solutions to use the software properly: the media downloaded from WhatsApp is added without audio track. The solution used is to convert it with VLC specifying to keep audio and video and use this modified file. The sound is then imported correctly. Note: it still seems to be a codec bug in Pinnacle that does not recognize the audio track of native videos exported from WhatsApp. Regarding the absence of sound for audio tracks, it was a default deactivation by Pinnacle in the volume mixer. I have modified the default setting of the application to have the sound enabled. However, I do not understand why this volume was disabled by default when launching the application. Thank you for your patience and attention, and in advance if you have answers to these questions. Best regards
Can I have a response from you
THANK YOU

Hello
Here I am, I have another problem with Pinnacle
I'm really hesitant to continue with it! Now under the scrolling window, I no longer have the buttons that allow me to go to the beginning or the end! I only have 3 options left: forward, advance one frame, or go back one frame!
And in the middle of my project, I find arrows on a gray circular background... a problem that had been resolved in a previous version of Pinnacle with CCM, but I didn't note the solution!
Pffff, I reset it.
Do I need to uninstall it and reinstall it?
Thank you for your response
