Hello

I have an old HP Pavilion computer from 2002. It works well, but I would like to reconnect to the internet. What should I do? It's Windows 7.

    Hello.

Download and install Firefox ESR (FREE), which is a version of Firefox for older versions of Windows.

      Hello,

      See my comment in <4>.

You cannot install anything higher than 115.0 right away.

If you install any version below 115.0 and let Firefox update, it will migrate to 115.0 and then to 115.4 ESR where it will probably stop until the end of time, even though it is a recent version.

The official purpose of ESR is not to compensate for a lack of Microsoft support but to provide a stable long-term version (in the same way as Windows LTSC) aimed at businesses and organizations.

Hi, just for your information, I'm using Waterfox on my old Windows 7 without SP1.

    Hello,

I can't remember which version of IE is integrated by default in Windows 7 or Windows 7 SP1; it’s possible that the older versions may no longer work.

IE11 or, for example, the latest version of Firefox continue to function, but if they aren’t installed, it’s a catch-22: you'll need to download them on another working PC and install them via a USB drive.

As for the rest, there is no specific requirement for Windows 7, except of course that you need to have a source of connection (Internet subscription, public Wi-Fi access...) and the appropriate hardware on the PC (Ethernet or Wi-Fi card).

As mentioned before, you might want to download this with another PC:

    https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/#product-desktop-release

Copy it to a USB drive and install it on the PC in question.

So, what exactly do I need to download? Is the latest version of Firefox free?

    And what is IE11?
