Hello,
I am currently experiencing significant slowdowns that sometimes lead to my PC freezing with my HP Pavilion G7 laptop, here are its specifications:
- Windows 7 Home Premium
- AMD E2 1.80GHz Processor
- 4 GB of RAM / 650 GB HDD
I don't know how to resolve these issues of slowness and freezing? Could they be due to insufficient RAM (currently 4 GB of RAM, upgradeable to 8 GB)?
I saw that there is an ULTRA-LIGHT version of Windows 7 Professional, would it be suitable for my old HP Pavilion G7 laptop that is really struggling? Could this version improve the performance and smoothness of my PC?
Thank you in advance for your advice and happy end of year celebrations
Best regards,

Hello,
The first part of the problem (and the main one) lies in the fact that your processor is not powerful at all. It must be more than overloaded (and in trouble) at the slightest request from the system...
Added to that is low memory, which can add a bit more sluggishness. But unfortunately, as long as you have this configuration, you won't be able to do much. The processor must be less powerful than some current smartphone processors...
