Hello, I changed my email password on my PC in Thunderbird. I need to change it in the K-9 Mail app on Android. I've looked at the forums, but every time it says to go to 'Menu.' In this app, I can't find 'Menu' anywhere, just 'Settings.' But in 'Settings,' I can't find anything related to changing the password. I should mention that the explanations I found on the forums are getting old.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello, Brucine is right, and I thank him for allowing me to resolve my problem.

His explanations are too brief, I will provide the step-by-step procedure:

Open K9Mail

Click on the three horizontal bars at the top left to open the menu

In the menu that appears, click on the gear icon "Settings" at the bottom

Your email accounts will be displayed, click on the one you want to update

A list of options will then appear, choose "Send email"

A new page will appear with many options, scroll to the bottom to see the last line "Outgoing server"

Choose this and the settings for your outgoing server will appear, with the Password at the bottom that can be updated.

This is what I did, and wonderful! my messages appeared in full.

Hello,

It seems there is no other solution than to change it in the settings, IMAP, those of the incoming server and then the outgoing server.

Thank you for your response. In the settings, I can't find anything about IMAP. When I select 'Settings' and 'General settings', there is only 'Account name' and 'Account color'.

I don't know more, the situation may have changed, it's in any case, wherever they are, in the shipping and receiving settings of the mailbox that we adjust (server name, port...) when we create it.

Thank you for your response. I couldn't find the method to change the password in the settings. I spent over 2 hours. On the forums, the only solutions are years old and are no longer applicable with the more recent version. I also noticed that I'm not the only one encountering this problem. I eventually uninstalled K-9 Mail and installed Gmail. Thus, my problem was solved.
