Where is the ink absorber located on the MB2700 Canon and how can I access it?

The ink absorber is usually located under the ink cartridges, inside the printer, often at the rear and on the right side.

Where is the ink absorber on the Canon MB2700?
It is located under the printer housing, in the lower section. It is a foam that collects ink residues.
How to remove it?

Turn off and unplug the printer.

Remove the front cover, then unscrew the base to access the absorber.

Carefully take it out (have some old papers ready because it may leak).
Warning : after replacing it, you must reset the printer's counter via maintenance software, otherwise the error will persist. If you're not comfortable, it's best to contact a professional.
