Word - Issue with the figure list

Hello,

I am currently writing my thesis and it contains several images. I am starting to insert the captions for each figure and I am updating the list of figures. At first, everything went well, but when I continue to insert the captions and update the list of figures, it duplicates several of the captions I have inserted. I deleted the entire list of figures as well as the captions I inserted to start over, but I still have this issue. I have tried everything and I cannot understand where the problem comes from.

Please, I need a solution.

    Urgent? Maybe ... But your image is completely unusable for us!

    Furthermore, you are using an English version of Word: is it an online version?

    You have here many explanations, demonstrations and tutorials on creating and updating figure tables.

    Retirement is nice! Especially in the Caribbean...

    Thank you for replying. I have the version of Word 2013, it's not an online version. I don't know how I can change the language, but the language is not very important. I need to find a solution to this problem. The link you shared only shows how I can create a list of figures, whereas I have already created it. The problem is when I create it, it has a lot of repetitions as shown in the picture.

    "your image is perfectly unusable for us!" I don't understand your point, is the problem not clear?

    Hello

    I've seen this problem several times, and usually it's because your captions are in text boxes, and maybe you've grouped the figure with the caption.

    I didn't know about the information you both talked about. And I don't know how to style all the images. But what I do know is that I've created several tables of illustrations in Word 2016 and I've never had this problem. But what the user who has the same problem said seems reasonable to me.

    I still don't understand why Word 2013 creates all these huge repetitions, and each time the repetitions increase; it’s becoming extremely serious.. it has nothing to do with the wrapping of the images.... I'm disappointed.
