Hello,

Thank you in advance for the answers!!!

I had a Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 and I just changed it for a Xiaomi Redmi 10c.

On the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, there was an option in the contacts that I used a lot!!!: "My Groups", to group contacts by Group.

I want to emphasize that I searched a lot before coming to post my question on the forum!!!

Does anyone know if there's a way to do the same on the Xiaomi Redmi 10c??? And if yes: how???

If not, is there an Android app that offers this feature, which one, and how can I ensure it doesn't interfere with the phone's call/receiving functions???

Thanks again for the answers!!!

Hello

Google Contacts allows you to create groups. The groups are called Labels.

You can use it. There will likely be a possible synchronization with the app provided by Xiaomi.

Thank you Pierr10 for the reply!! I continued searching and found it, but I don't know how to search by label and find all the contacts belonging to that label as I did on my Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.

If you or another forum user has any idea??? THANK YOU!!!

In Google Contacts, you need to click on the three bars at the top left to see the list of labels, then click on a label to view its contents.

Hello sir, I am experiencing the same problem. I can’t find my "labels" groups in contacts or messages. In the three dots, I have company but not my labels. I just got a Xiaomi Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G.

Your help would be appreciated.

Best regards

Hello,

I'm taking the case of the Google Contacts app.

Clicking on the 3 dots at the top right is used to manage the display.

Below the 3 dots, there are buttons that can be moved horizontally. They are useful for selecting certain contacts:

  • Those who have a phone number
  • Those who have an email address
  • Those who have a profession that can be selected (it's the Business button): for example, to display all the plumbers saved in the contacts.

The labels are managed by clicking on the 3 bars at the top right (to the left of "Search in your contacts" in the screenshot).

Hello sir,

Yes, I have indeed found where to select the labels, but afterwards I can't seem to access my groups for sending SMS.

I'm missing a step.

Best regards,

You may have different messaging applications: the one from Google and probably one provided by Xiaomi.

I am not familiar with Xiaomi and can only speak about Messages from Google.

It is indeed very disappointing to see that in the Google Messages app, we cannot find the labels we have created.

The solution is to go through the Contacts app (from Google):

  • You need to click on the 3 bars at the top left to display the labels.
  • Select a label.
  • Then click on the 3 dots at the top right and various options will be presented:

This is obviously not the simplest.

(I have a Samsung whose messaging app directly manages groups).

Thank you Pierr10!!! My problem is solved!!

I notice that the more a smartphone improves, the more it becomes complete nonsense!! On my old smartphone (Xiaomi Redmi Note 5), it was so, so easy to create a group, whereas on my new smartphone: Xiaomi Redmi 10c, you have to go into the contacts app and click on the 3 bars...

Anyway, it's solved, THANK YOU!!!
