Ordissimo and Microsoft

Unless the policy of the designers of this range has changed since I discovered this gem of French marketing, the commercial offer relies on locked products, supposedly based on a Linux core, but completely opposite to this free operating system (so-called open source). As a result, no installation or even system configuration was possible, as there was no access to the options available on consumer systems.

This under the pretense of simplicity imposed on seniors, who are the target of the manufacturer.

I thought I saw a user announcing they had a version running on Windows, in an unfinished thread due to a lack of "specialists" on CCM (are there any elsewhere?). In any case, at least one professional "landed" with us to insistently request alternative solutions to the base system, which Ordissimo had refused, and which we obviously could not provide, since they do not exist.

I emphasize this last point because to install Edge, a Microsoft product, the hardware must be able to run under Windows (drivers nonexistent, by the way). For Chrome, which exists under Linux, it would "only" require the manufacturer to allow the installation of third-party products, which was not the case when I did my research on the subject.

Indeed, this will likely be useful to other potential buyers, especially since a computer of this brand was recently offered to winning viewers on a midday entertainment show. Replaced by Asus. Thank you in advance for any more recent information.
