How to transfer photos to an A36 on a computer

Hello,
I’m struggling to transfer data from one device to another via USB cable, whereas with other smartphones it happens directly without any steps.
For each transfer I have to go into Settings, then USB, then USB tethering, and finally File transfer.
I hope there must be a shorter way and especially a way that doesn’t require repeating this every time.

Once the cable is connected, swipe the screen from top to bottom to obtain the USB transfer.

There is a way to avoid this process for each connection:
"For every transfer I have to go to Settings, then USB, then USB modem, and finally File transfer."
To do this, you will need to enable Developer options on your phone.
> Go to "Settings"
> "About phone"
> Tap 7 times on "OS version"
> Then, find "Developer options" in Settings, or Additional settings.
> Find "Default USB configuration":
> Finally click on "File transfer":
Thus, at each connection of the phone to the computer, you will only have to unlock the phone (if you have set a security), and you will no longer have to choose the USB configuration when you connect your phone.
The menus are normally similar.
Be careful not to change anything else in Developer mode.

The behavior of your smartphone is that it does not memorize the USB mode and resets to the default.
Have you tried enabling permanent USB mode?
On the PC side, you should check in Windows whether the MTP driver is not stuck.
Hence updating it as well.
What is the exact model of your smartphone?

The model is specified.
Apart perhaps from USB debugging, not even sure, I don’t know what permanent USB mode is.
The standard adb driver is included in Windows, at least historically some Samsung models require the Samsung proprietary driver.
Unless the question mentions, once the USB cable is connected, a new authorization each time a photo is transferred, on all phones newer Android versions will notify a authorization request each time the cable is connected.To align with Kori-Kori's comment, indeed it is not just an authorization but a menu that asks the user what they want to do, not necessarily the same thing every time, and which can be different depending on the phones. Mine has 3 choices but to my knowledge there is no option to choose a default as it seems to be illustrated in the second image; if, by the way, this choice were systematically transfer, I suppose we could no longer recharge the phone on the computer.
Otherwise, we might bypass it by going through Mobile Connected under Windows, which I don't use, and surely by apps (for example MyPhone Explorer) which, once the app is launched on the phone and the software connected via Wi-Fi that can be pre-configured on the computer, will ask for nothing more but, in this specific case, will by default synchronize photos in batches without transferring a single one individually.
