Hello everyone

I have a BBox wifi 7 (Bouygues). If I buy a used box, do I need to inform my operator for it to work, or can I use it by doing the configuration myself?

    What is the point of buying a used box, if it’s defective will the operator replace it?

    We have no certainty about the functioning of a used box; in principle they are hard‑wired programmed to match the contract and are almost impossible to reconfigure.

    There was at least a time when you could use a consumer modem-router in place of the Box (except for the TV); it wasn’t very easy to set up for ADSL depending on the operator, I suppose it’s even less so with fiber.
