Asus. Laptop stuck on BIOS Solved

Question

Hello,

I can't start my Asus laptop, which immediately goes to the BIOS on launch, and I see that it doesn't detect any hard drive (no storage device present). To be honest, I believe it's my fault because it sent me a message several times before crashing, indicating that I needed to free up space on the hard drive, which I did the first time but not the second, so it must have been full!

I tried to boot from a USB drive on which I had copied the Windows 10 ISO using RUFUS. It then displays the welcome logo, making me think everything is going well since it doesn't show the BIOS anymore, but it loops on the welcome logo, turns off, and restarts in a loop stuck on the welcome logo, and nothing happens!

I made a mistake, but does anyone have a tip to help me out?

I tried, nothing works! Impossible to access safe mode despite the procedure described by ASUS (pressing power for 10 seconds then 40 seconds to reset) it keeps showing me this EZ MODE utility BIOS..
The other procedure, which involves holding down the [Power button] to force the device to shut down 3 times when Windows doesn't enter the Desktop, doesn't work either!

I think I'm about to throw it out the window, it's going to be quick!

Hence the importance of taking warning messages into account.

If the assumption is that the disk is full at 100%, yes it can mess up windows, I've seen it before.
However, this means that even if we access the BIOS, it won't help except to boot from a USB key (see site microsoft) and reinstall windows, but WITH data loss (the opposite may cause issues).

Or another solution is to create a bootable key with some basic tools, including a file manager for example, and boot from it to go delete files in the data directories.

Since it no longer detects my hard drive, I understand that it cannot boot Windows either in normal or safe mode, but why does it not work when I use a USB drive on which I've copied the Windows 10 ISO and ask it to boot from that USB first? It's a mystery!!!

If anyone has an idea, I'm all ears!

Hello, extremely late, I’m allowed to leave a comment because a friend recently had the same problem with an Asus laptop, which no longer recognized its hard drive. He was ready to buy a new one, but I took over and it only took me a few minutes.

Many people neglect something very important, though: cleaning their PC (and when I talk about cleaning, I mean the big spring cleaning).

I simply disassembled his laptop to blow it out with some compressed air and give it a good dusting; it was not pretty to look at.

Once his PC was reassembled, it immediately recognized the hard drive and had no more issues.

I hope this helps some of you!
