Hello
I have been using Thunderbird for years without any issues, but suddenly I lost the toolbar and can no longer send a message
I uninstalled and reinstalled Thunderbird twice, but the problem remains the same
Can you help me?
Thank you in advance

Hello and thank you very much, but it's precisely that bar that has disappeared
I no longer have display
So it's not just the mail toolbar that has disappeared, but also the menu bar.
To make it appear and click on "View," just press "Alt" and nothing else!
Check all the boxes shown in my example above. -
Hi
Send, you have it and it's clickable when you compose an email and have entered a recipient's address. -
-
Yes, that's how I retrieved the current bar that says:
"file-edit-view-go to-messages-events and tasks-help"
No!
The bar you mentioned is the one you retrieved by checking the "Menu bar" box. Not the "Mail toolbar" box, which is a different box.
Did you check the "Mail toolbar" box? YES? NO?
Do you have the other icons of the Mail toolbar: "Security, Save, Contacts"? -
Yes, I did
view/toolbars/*mail toolbar
I just checked: it is checked
I just tried to send a message but I'm still stuck because I don't have "send nor security, nor save, nor contacts"
best regards

PS: I may not have expressed myself clearly
I no longer have the horizontal bar at the top "send - forward - tools, etc............
sincerely

Hello and thank you very much, but it’s precisely this bar that has disappeared
I no longer have display
to respond to you, I am forced to go through the Orange email box which is very complicated, I prefer Thunderbird 100 times
best regards

Thank you very much to all of you: I'm making progress...
So the menu bar is back, but I don't have the "send" box
Best regards

Right-click in the top area of the message and click on "Customize"
In the window that opens, do you see a "Send" icon?
If so, click on it and, without releasing the click, drag it to the mail toolbar. -
ah! I’ve made progress again
it worked for transfer - reply - spam - delete
but I don’t have “send”
thank you for everything you do for me
I just need one more box
best wishes

forward - reply - junk - delete it's in the main panel of the received messages list.
"Send" is in the message creation window to send a message!
You didn't click on View in the right place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I say to click on View / Toolbar / Mail toolbar, it has to be done in the message creation window. Not just anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why would you want a "Send" button in a place where nothing can be sent? -
OK, but when I want to create a message, I don't have the menu bar or
"view"
I have it when I open Thunderbird, so I clicked on view/toolbars......

Hello again,
I restarted everything, I retrieved the bar but "send" is grayed out.
Best wishes,
enailys -
me again... maybe I can do "customize by default"?

Good evening,
That's a good idea: as SerBall22 mentioned: right-click > Customize > Default Settings
And to access contacts, in "write" mode you need to press the F9 key. -
I tried the default configuration, it doesn't work
best regards

Hello, I don't understand; last night I wrote that I had redone everything and that now it was working very well
that the problem was solved and that I thanked those who helped a clueless person with computers...
well apparently that didn't come through
a HUGE thank you to everyone
have a good Sunday
