Keyboard turns off by itself

Hello, I'm on a desktop PC with Windows 10. I have a problem where often if I stop typing for a few seconds, the keyboard stops working.

Basically, if I'm not looking at the screen, I can type an entire sentence into thin air... or when I need to type a code, by the time I look at the code to complete it, I'm typing into the void because the letters don't appear anymore... I have to click on the screen to be able to continue, and it's quite annoying...

So I've already tried switching USB ports, changing the mouse too... theoretically, the keyboard driver is up to date...

Anyway, I don't get it :p

And no one understands when I talk about this problem...

Let's hope it's not the case here :)

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 85.0.4183.83

Hello

It's either a USB power issue, or a power management/accessibility problem with the keyboard by Windows, or a driver issue...

- USB power
How many devices are plugged in via USB?
Is there a "gaming" mouse? Is there a hub?

Power management
The "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" setting in Device Manager might be enabled.

Click on Start, type Device Manager in the search box, then click on Device Manager in the list of results.
Click to expand Root Hub, then click on the Power Management tab.
Disable the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power," then click OK.

Note: If multiple Root Hub entries are available, disable this option for each of these entries.

DRIVERS
Reinstall the driver for the keyboard AND the mouse

PS: what’s your PC reference? W10? W7?

Thank you for your response, just when I'm heading to a meeting haha, so I will do all of that tomorrow and I will give you a report.

PS: W10, as indicated in the first line, I know this kind of info is always requested ^^

Thanks again.

And just so you know, I bought a new keyboard, and the same issue persists, so it probably does come from the tower.

sorry for returning from the trip, so no hub, no gaming mouse...

on the tower there's just the cam, the keyboard, and the mouse
