Hello,
I have a problem with my keyboard that's been bothering me since I bought my laptop 6 months ago (it's an Acer Aspire).
The problem is as follows: when I type in a word processor or any messaging service, after a certain number of characters typed, I find myself, without having pressed any particular key, typing in the middle of a word I've already typed earlier. Just now, I wanted to type "This problem" and ended up with: "This pme roblè". This issue seems independent of the word processor or the number of characters typed.
Does anyone have any idea?

Ultimately, my issue was resolved by following Anneli21's advice: disabling touch typing while typing.
I don't have an answer, but I have exactly the same problem with an ACER Aspire 7720G laptop bought at the end of December
I'm running Windows Vista
I ran a scan and there are no viruses. This problem started from the very first use.
