The numeric keypad is disabled.

Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out to ask my question here because I haven't found any solution to my problem so far.

I am currently using a desktop PC running Windows 8.1; for several weeks now, the numeric keypad on my keyboard has been disabling itself two to three times a day. This does not happen after any action or when the computer goes to sleep.

The light for the Num Lock key is off when this occurs.

The numeric keypad is enabled at startup (I have made the change through the InitialKeyboardIndicators keys set to value 2 in the registry).

The problem does not lie with the keyboard, as it was recently changed and the issue persists.

Unless my PC is haunted by a mischievous spirit, do you have any idea what I could do to keep the numeric keypad permanently locked?

Thank you in advance and I wish you a great Sunday :-)
