Ethernet connection issue "Network cable not connected"

Good evening everyone,

With fiber newly installed, I figured it was time to switch to Ethernet wiring. A wall outlet had been installed specifically about 5 years ago, but I never noticed it and thus never used it.

However, when I plug my PC cable into the wall outlet, nothing. In Network and Sharing Center, my local area connection shows "Network cable unplugged."

I did some searching on other topics, but I didn’t understand everything.

I have checked my devices in Device Manager; everything is up to date and enabled. I also tried turning the Ethernet connection on/off in the Network and Sharing Center.

Do you have any ideas where the problem might come from?

Are we talking about RJ45 or not?

Because in that case ADSL or fiber, it doesn't change anything; you just need one of these cables to be connected to this fiber modem and that's it.

If the cable is too old, it will bottleneck the possible throughput from the modem.

So it's convenient that it's already run in the walls, but it can have a negative effect on the throughput if it's too old.

    They are brand new, but you don’t know where they pass?
    
    If their appearance is new, that’s another matter; what matters is their "Category," especially if you have a fiber modem, you need very high-quality RJ45 to get the best possible speed.

That's the whole problem, knowing where this cable goes and where it is connected.

There must be a place where it comes out and goes or used to plug in somewhere.

Hello,
these sockets are usually used for ADSL and connect to the ADSL line that is typically located in a box near the electrical panel.

is there a socket like this one near the box?

  Good evening, yes indeed there is a similar outlet but for the ADSL near the location of the old box (replaced by the fiber box)

  We need to first draw the diagram of your telephone and/or Ethernet network to know what can be done. For that, you have to find where the different outlets arrive and what goes where; you’ll probably need to open the outlets. The goal is to use the telephone/ADSL network or the Ethernet network (depending on how the network is set up at your place) as an Ethernet extension between the box and your computer: box > RJ45 cable > wall RJ45 outlet > cable in the wall > wall RJ45 outlet > RJ45 cable > PC

  Hello,
  The first thing to check is how this RJ45 socket is wired.
  For it to carry Ethernet signals it must be wired with 8 conductors (if only 2 conductors are connected, it is a cable for a telephone).
  
  And for it to transmit the signals from the modem to the wall socket, there must be a cable between the modem and the socket located in the electrical cabinet.

  Small clarification: all my wall outlets have the inscription when opening the small flap "5e".
  
  To also specify, I have a wall outlet near my box and one in my bedroom where my PC is. But even after correctly connecting my RJ45 cables as advised by jumulka, I still have the same error in my network center and sharing

  By plugging in as I told you it works if the RJ45 outlet you plug into the box is properly connected to the one you plug your computer into, even if it’s labeled Cat 5e, that doesn’t mean the cable is correctly plugged into the RJ45, and we still don’t know the Ethernet network that is set up at your place and we can’t help you with that, you need to be on-site.

  If you cannot go beyond the installation (at the source), you can, nevertheless, change the RJ45 cable. That will cost you much less than the whole installation.

  I have a friend who has a 10Gb fiber, he tested it and was limited to a little over 1Gb... I told him to buy a CAT 7 and now he gets the full 10Gb/s!
