Hard drive formatted after installing Canal+ decoder

Hello,

I connected my external hard drive to the Canal decoder to record movies, etc. When I reconnected it to my PC to retrieve some documents, it asks me to format it... damn

I can see the device, but it appears empty. Can you please help me? I can't see the format.

    Hello
    The hard drive has been formatted according to a specific format by the decoder.
    At best, you can try to recover the files with data recovery software.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your quick help. I will attempt to recover the data. However, Canal+ could specify this before starting the installation, either by stating to use a blank hard drive or one without data.
