Hello, so here is my problem, I have an external hard drive Seagate SRD00F1 as well as a Mac.

I would simply like to read my movies that are on this drive on my PS3. However, it does not recognize it.

I have searched online for a solution... I found one, which is to install a software called fat32formater that allows formatting any drive to FAT32 without data limitations. But unfortunately, it is nowhere to be found on Mac.

So I don’t know what to do anymore, If you can help me, it would be greatly appreciated.

Best regards.

Hello.

No need for third-party software on Mac to format a disk to FAT32.

You need to open Disk Utility, which you will find in your Applications/Utilities folder.

Then select your disk, and in the "Erase" tab, you should be able to format it to FAT32.

There is a limitation that you won't be able to bypass, as it is due to the inherent functioning of the FAT32 format, which is the maximum file size on the disk limited to 4GB.

Thank you for your response, but unfortunately, it doesn't help me much because I forgot to specify that the movies I want to put are 3D movies that exceed this disk limitation. I found a software that could format the hard drive to FAT32 without this disk limitation, but it's only downloadable on Windows. Is there really no way to view my movies on my TV? I’m desperate; I have a great TV, a hard drive, a computer, and no way to fully enjoy it... Unless I buy a small Apple accessory that costs around thirty euros, which is used to connect an HDMI cable to the television. Because obviously, there’s no HDMI output on the Mac! You have to buy this crap from Apple, seriously, it's a money grab...

As Pierrecastor says, it's impossible to get past this limitation, even with software; that's just how the format is designed.
The solution remains to split the film and make a playlist to watch in succession.

Thank you for your response, I think I will buy a new adapter for my Mac, it seems easier. One piece of advice: never buy a Mac, it's a source of problems... You can't do anything. Thanks again to everyone, have a good day.
