Freebox Revolution and TNT

Hello,

The TNT is well integrated; proof is I watch the 27 channels regularly.

However, they closed RMC following their disagreement and tell us we can watch it via TNT.

I don’t understand anymore.
ANYWAY, I need a wall cable, but the one I’ve had for decades doesn’t fit the Box connection; the 'hole' is wide while my wall cable has a "point" on each side and its thickness doesn’t match.

As I can't reach them, do you know what kind of cable is needed since they didn’t supply it at the same time as the Freebox?

Thank you for your help ;-)

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 68.0

the screw connector of the 2 links seems to be the same.

you said before that you had ADSL on it, so it must have been a Noos/Numéricable subscription. If they installed the socket, I'm not sure there is TNT. However, if it's a common installation for the entire building, then Noos/Numéricable must provide TNT to everyone and fiber/ADSL to its subscribers.

For me, it's an antenna in the building since I was already using this wall socket in 1983 with a round TV ;-))
It's for the TV and for the Hi-Fi system. That's how it was. However, I believe it's the one on top for the TV but I'm not sure.

Wall socket photo + last cable used with Bouygues and before + TNT Freebox Revolution:

I don't remember if I asked someone to adapt it for the service providers.

If it worked with a television... it will work again, just need to have the cable that goes: an F-type connector on one end and a 9 mm TV connector on the other.

Hello,

When the Freebox TV is not connected to the TV antenna, the TNT channels are broadcasted via Free's internet connection. BTM TV is no longer available on Free's network, so if you want to continue watching the channel through the Freebox TV, it needs to be connected to the TV antenna. If the TV connected to the Freebox is itself connected to the antenna, you can watch BTM directly on the TV, without going through the Freebox.

As for the cable, it might just be a matter of male or female connectors. For the wall socket, you might need a male plug and a female socket for the Freebox.

Example male/female cable

Thank you for your reply.

The problem is that it's not at all the wall cable that I have. I have a thin tip and it's too big for the box, plus.

According to your photo, the one on the right goes into the Freebox Revolution, but the one on the left won't fit the wall because I need a thin tip to enter the "mini hole" of the wall unit.

The question I'm asking myself is, can we change the unit? And in that case, I need to find the appropriate cable for both (wall and box).

This might not be a TV connection. Satellite?

You should try, but at the other end of the wall socket, it's definitely TV/TNT, not satellite reception?

And for the record, do you watch this channel?

It was the antenna I used for ADSL and even before... the wall socket is a tiny hole.
Maybe you need an adapter, but I don't know what it's called, knowing that on the box side, it’s the male plug that goes in it...

In fact, Free is angry with Canal and 2 channels I used to watch can now only be received via TNT, hence my need for cable...

Here is the plug that goes into the wall socket:

Hello,
The cable shown in message #8 is a satellite antenna (dish) cable.
What type of antenna do you have? A rooftop antenna or a dish?

Otherwise, if it's a rooftop antenna, the cable from message #5 will do the trick.

Your neighbors or your landlord or agency can provide you with information
You need to know if it's a rooftop antenna, cable, or satellite dish.
In the case of a satellite dish... you will need a satellite decoder

The F connector cable (screw type) / TV socket from message #5 is not too expensive (especially since it's a 5m cable and in my opinion, you can manage with 2 meters)
Try it out, you will see if it works or not.

That was my question at the start, but there’s so much information on the internet that I can't find it... especially since I need a wall adapter because the pin is too thin.

I was wondering if I could change the wall socket that is TV/Radio.

I read here that the usual collective antenna sockets are IEC radio/TV sockets (male for TV, female for radio).

What does the other end of the cable look like? Can it be connected to the antenna socket of the TV or the Free decoder?
