OpenOffice document that automatically converts to Word document

Hello,

I have been using OpenOffice word processing since... well, always actually, and I have never encountered any issues. I changed my computer this summer and therefore had to download it on my new one. Since then, every time I save a document in O.O. (.odt), it automatically transforms into a Word document and I can't modify it; indeed, when I open it, a second window opens asking me to subscribe to the Office pack. I can close this window and access the document, but I can't make any modifications to it, it says "unlicensed product" next to the title.
It's all the more frustrating because when I copy the text from the document to paste it into a new O.O. document, the text is pasted as it is... So without the various fonts or colors, without the line breaks, etc. I then have to manually redo the entire layout.
I don't understand what this is due to (new computer? New version of O.O.? Just a mistake on my part?) and especially how to fix it (if it's possible..).

Thank you for your responses.

Alright, so I followed all that
Instead of "odf text" I chose "odf text template" and now it works, my document is editable.
Thanks for the tip!

Me neither, it doesn't work (I create documents with LibreOffice Writer, but when I save them on the Desktop or as another file, they become Microsoft documents that I can no longer edit…)
I have a Lenovo computer and Microsoft 10

It still doesn't work; when I open the file it is still in Word.

Now my file (26 pages and very important to me) is no longer accessible with the LibreOffice Writer app, only with Word, but I can neither edit it nor delete it.

Finally, it's all good... I open the files with LibreOffice by right-clicking on the file; open with; LibreOffice.... Thank you very much anyway.
