Openoffice vertical text alignment

While working in OpenOffice Writer, I would like to know the procedure to vertically center text on a page, as one can do in a cell in OpenOffice Calc. Thank you. Best regards

    Given that the method proposed in the topic is slow, I allow myself to make a beautiful 'up' of this topic to provide another solution, surely sought after by many Open Office users, and I also allow myself to do so because the first topic that comes up when searching for how to center the text vertically is this one.

    Format -> Alignment -> Center.

      It doesn’t work for me, I can’t select the option; it’s greyed out and not in black.
