Hello,

I am currently experiencing a problem with my connection. Indeed, when I plug my ethernet cable into my PC's motherboard, it tells me that the network cable is not connected. I have tried with other cables and changing the port on the router... But to no avail. I am able to connect with a Wi-Fi key, but its quality is poor, so I would like to fix this issue to make the most of my connection. Despite spending several hours on forums, I haven't found any solution, which is why I am creating a post.

Let me explain all the steps I have taken:
When I bought my PC three years ago, it was running Windows 7, and I did the free upgrade to Windows 10, and everything worked fine. However, less than a week ago, I formatted my hard drives using the diskpart command due to a possible infection. I decided to switch to Windows 8.1 using an ISO provided on the official Microsoft site through their tool, and at the end of the installation, the connection via cable did not work. I tried to find solutions but nothing worked. I then decided to go back to Windows 10, once again using the tool provided by Microsoft, thinking the problem stemmed from there... But at the end of the installation, it still didn't work. I have tried multiple manipulations but still with no success.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 59.0.3071.115

The drivers for the card are up to date.

Open the device manager, then go to display and select "Show hidden devices." If you see lines with a yellow question mark appearing, there is a driver issue. If everything is OK, then I'll pass the torch because I unfortunately don't have any other solutions to suggest.

No, I don't have anything with a yellow question mark.

Try creating a live USB key with Lubuntu and then restart your PC from the key. If your network card does not work, it means it is faulty. If everything is fine, you will need to find what is blocking under Windows 10.
