Hello,

After going through the forums (which have always been enough to help me solve my computer issues until now), I’m stuck on this problem that I’m not the only one facing, and it’s impossible to work around this difficulty.

For the past 2 days, my computer has suddenly decided not to connect to the internet anymore. Instead of the wifi icon, there’s a rectangle crossed by a red X + "no connections are available."
Windows Network Diagnostics: "a network cable is not plugged in correctly or is damaged."

Let’s clarify that:
- the network cards seem to be activated and functional (and drivers are up to date)
- both the computer and the router have been restarted
- my mobile phone works perfectly on the same wifi
- I do not have an ethernet cable at my disposal
- antivirus is disabled

Windows version: 6.1

I thank anyone who is willing to help me!!

Hi,
either you have disabled the wifi on your PC (key or button for that).
or your network card is broken or its (internal) antenna.
Did it fall?
Try an external USB adapter.

Hello to you, and thank you for your quick response! At the risk of sounding ignorant:
- how can I possibly reactivate the Wi-Fi?
- how to diagnose if my network card is broken?
- external adapter... yikes, I'm a student in Bolivia and I don't know where to find this equipment... plus I share the Wi-Fi with my neighbor and the box is at his place.

Otherwise, no falls, I take good care of my laptop and I don't understand its state of nervous breakdown.

Thank you for your help!!

I just updated the Wireless console 3 Wi-Fi card. No change. Is it normal that it doesn't appear in the device manager list?

Another thing: when I look at the 2 network cards, they are up to date and connected but both show "network cable not connected."
