Ethernet connected but no internet access Solved

Question

Hello,

After several restarts of my computer and having unplugged and reconnected the various cables of my SFR Box, it turns out that I am indeed connected to the network provided by my Box, but I cannot open a webpage via Mozilla or Chrome...

After several fruitless searches on different forums, would a kind soul have a solution to offer me?

A try: Open a command prompt (type cmd in "run") in the window type: ipconfig /flushdns If no error restart the PC

Is only your PC the issue?
Does another one work via cable?
Have you restarted the box?

Hello, thank you for your response.

Yes, this is my only PC and it is the only one that works via Ethernet cable.

The router is turned off when I am no longer using the computer, so I turn it back on as needed.

I conclude that the Wi-Fi is okay for the other devices (if there are any)?
That your computer is a desktop?

Can't you find a laptop or something else to connect via the cable to confirm that it is indeed the PC and not the box that is causing the issue?

Yes, the Wi-Fi works perfectly on my smartphone and indeed, it is a desktop computer of ACER brand and about 6/7 years old.

I have a laptop with which I can test the Ethernet connection. But regarding the network troubleshooter, it doesn't detect any issues and the connection is established as usual...

Hi, on your PC that's having issues:

- Paste here the result of the command ipconfig /all.
- Perform a ping on your router. First, check if it can reach your gateway.
