Hello,
If someone could help me out, I'd appreciate it. I have the Freebox V5 and I regularly record on a few channels (TF1, France4, France4, Arte...) and when I want to transfer my videos to my computer to convert them to DivX, it works for recordings from all channels except TF1. The Freebox indicates in the file details that for all my recordings made on TF1, FTP transfer is prohibited, and as a result, I can't see the files from my computer...
Is there a way to unlock these files? Is it a setting on the Freebox or the computer that I need to change, or is it simply TF1 sending a signal that the file should be blocked just to annoy everyone???? I've recorded interesting films and documentaries that I'd like to keep; moreover, it's not piracy since it's a public broadcast, I don't see why they would block their shows.....
Anyway, if anyone has a solution, that would help me a lot, thanks in advance.

The best solution would be to file a complaint against TF1, as copying is permitted by the Lang law of 1985 under the provision that "the right to private copying allows any individual to make a backup copy of any audiovisual content for private use."

Indeed, but since it's been going on for so long, there's little chance of it being resolved. My problem is slightly different: my Freebox V6 needs to be replaced (display and network issues) and I would like to keep my recordings from TF1 on my new Freebox. I think I'm going to have to come to terms with that.
