Hello everyone and thank you in advance for your help, I have a big problem. - the left click on the start menu no longer works - pressing the start key has no effect - the right click on the start menu works - the notification area no longer opens when I click on it - the right click on the software in the taskbar has no action anymore - the calculator installed in the taskbar opens and immediately closes when I click on it. Good evening and thank you for your help. I applied the link method. Something happened. I had already applied these suggestions from another site but in a different order. This time something occurred, and when it started, a dark blue screen appeared with the name of the PC and below it a box for a password and a checkbox to validate. There was no password, if I click the box without entering anything it says the password is invalid, and if I enter a password, the same thing happens. Under the password box, there is a link to reset the password, I inserted a USB key as suggested but it requires a password reset disk. What should I do? I'm a bit lost. The PC does not boot up as before, going directly to the desktop. Thank you for the help and availability.

Thank you for the help. I solved my problem, so to speak. I reinstalled Windows 7. The PC had a Windows 7 license. I chose this solution because I was going in circles. Thanks again.
