right-click blocked on taskbar

Hello everyone,  I have a problem with the taskbar. The right-click of the mouse is not working on it (it works fine everywhere else)  Thank you for your replies

I just solved my problem.

So here’s how to proceed:
execute: gpedit.msc

group policy/user configuration/administrative templates/start menu and taskbar/remove access to the context menus for the taskbar/properties/disable.

For me, it was enabled, I don’t know why since I am the only one using my computer, maybe Taskbar repair?

I don’t know, but the main thing is that it works!

Two possibilities. Either it's intentional, or it's not.
In other words, either you are not the only user on your PC, and an admin has restricted the rights on your PC (the prohibition of right-clicking is a possible type of restriction), and in that case, I advise you to talk to them calmly before threatening them with death.
Or it's not intentional; in that case, it's either a bug or a virus. If it's a virus, post the report from the HijackThis software (easily found on Google) here so we can see what it's about.
If it's a bug, it's more delicate. Since when have you had this problem? What have you installed recently? Did you put dirt in your CD drive? (My last question is purely rhetorical; please do not take it into account).

Thank you for your response,  I am the only one using my computer.  I scanned with my antivirus: nothing Spybot: nothing Ad aware: blocked  I installed a program for my camera (from CD), tweak xp pro4, tune up utilities, taskbar repair, and a-squared. Hello, I finally solved the right-click problem that wasn't working on the taskbar... Two days of battling for nothing... Here’s what I did...

_ right-click, at the bottom right of your desktop on the (blue bar) called: "the notification area"
_ left-click on "properties"
_ a window opens with either "taskbar" or "start menu"
_ left-click on start menu, and there you have either "Start Menu" or "Classic Start Menu"
_ select Start Menu, then left-click on "Customize"
_ another window opens with either "General" or "Advanced"
_ left-click on "Advanced"
_ There you see "Start menu settings" in blue, with two checkboxes underneath that need to be checked
_ below these two boxes, there's "Start menu items" and you simply need to check "Enable dragging and dropping"
_ and now it’s the end, click on "OK" and again on "OK" in the second window.

I'm on Windows XP
Anyway, thanks also to the other users in the computer help forums, because their advice, and yours too, have been very useful to me, I’m also learning thanks to you, thank you.
This is my little contribution and my pride in posting this... LOL

Even simpler!! Search for "Start menu settings" Click on "Start menu restoration" then "taskbar" then uncheck "lock the taskbar" Hi!
