Hello,  Copy the following character  ² , then open Settings. Go to General > Keyboard > Text Replacement.  Tap the +  at the top right.  In Phrase, paste the character  ² .  In Shortcut, insert something like m2 which will automatically be replaced by ² when you type m2.  Sincerely - HelpiOS. Stop overthinking, It is okay not to know all the answers.

Unless I'm mistaken, it is not included.

However, I have seen some spell checkers that transform it by typing: m2, and then you just have to delete the m.

It doesn't work on mine; I use x^2 instead, which is very understandable for most people.

Hello, the post is old but the only solution I found to get the small 2 is to use Siri by saying something like "3 square meters" and Siri types correctly 3 m². It also works for the small 3 of cubic meters.
