How to write the square root symbol

Hello, I am using Office 2007 with the Word program,
now I don’t know how to write the square root sign mathematically
can someone help me?

    Open this software then go to "Insert" and select "special characters."
    In the symbols tab, select the Sylfaen font and scroll all the way down the dropdown list of symbols.

      Thank you, I just went to insert and in the symbols, I clicked on equations and I found the radical symbol. That's good.
