Bootable USB drive El Capitan

Hello Francis,
I just created a bootable USB stick of "El Capitan" via the terminal by strictly following your instructions (formatting the stick and the command line in the terminal). I had previously installed 10.11, then 10.11.1 on top of Yosemite.
The operation went perfectly except for the following: when I go to system preferences - Startup Disk, the USB stick does not appear.
I did the process again changing the stick and it still does not appear.
I would like to point out that in Disk Utility, the stick is bootable (by clicking on info), and by restarting the computer with the alt key pressed down at startup, this stick does appear in the list of bootable disks. Cautiously, I did not boot from this stick and perform the clean install that I wanted to do. Because it seems to me that if this stick does not appear in system preferences - startup disk, that indicates a problem. I had done clean installs of Mavericks and Yosemite following your procedures and the sticks appeared in system preferences - startup disk.
What do you think?
I look forward to your wise advice and thank you very much.

Macbook Pro late 2011
Configuration: Mac OS X (10.11.1) / Safari 9.0.1

    Good evening,

Since Francis is not always available, which is perfectly natural and normal, and given that I have asked him via private message the same question, not about a USB key but regarding another disk with El Capitan installed on it. I was wondering about this anomaly that Francis was aware of.
By going through System Preferences, the disk with El Capitan does not appear in the startup disk choices, while another disk with Mavericks does! However, by restarting while holding down the option key, yes, all the bootable systems, including USB keys, are indeed present.
So there’s no problem, it’s normal although surprising. I think Apple dropped the ball a bit on this one!

    Have a good evening.

Francis, if you’re reading this, good evening ;-)

      Good evening Dede 74000,
Thank you for the response. Indeed, it seems surprising and before I dive in, I preferred to get some feedback from experience.
Best regards and have a good evening.
