Hello,
I am actually facing two related problems.
Following the acquisition of an iPad Air, I am trying to connect to my iTunes to retrieve my configuration from my iPad 2. During synchronization, iTunes tells me that it is impossible because I do not have the latest version of iTunes.
So I am trying to migrate to OS X El Capitan to attempt this synchronization... I am not sure if this will be the solution...
The second problem is that I am downloading the famous El Capitan via the Apple Store, and once finished, I start the installation, but I get an error message:
"Unable to verify this copy of the OS X El Capitan Installer application. It may have been damaged or altered during installation." Delete the copy of the application and go to the Purchases page of the Mac App Store to download a new copy.
And basically, I can't go any further.
If you have any ideas on each of these issues, thank you in advance!
Configuration: Mac OS X Snow Leopard (10.6.8) / Safari 5.1.9

The cause of this problem has already been mentioned by several people; it is the difference in date between the moment the Mac OS installer is downloaded and when it is installed, which is too significant. To solve this issue, you need to make the installer believe that the installation is happening in the days following the download. Therefore, you need to do:
1/ know the download date. You can do "Command+i" on the file "Install OS X El Capitan," for example, and note the date indicated in the "created: ...." field, for example, October 17, 2015
2/ at the time of installation, disconnect the ethernet network to prevent the computer from syncing to the date (via the ntp protocol)
3/ open the terminal and enter the following line:
>date {month}{day}{hour}{minute}{year}
replacing with the correct date. For example, if my installation file was created on 10/17/2015, I will make the system believe that it is 10/18/2015 at noon, for example, so:
>date 1018120015
4/ start the installation
