Photoshop Transparency Issue

Hello, I did some research, read the posts about it, tried the different manipulations explained, the fact is that the problem persists and I am on the verge of a nervous breakdown: while working on a logo, I am trying to save my image in PNG while keeping the background transparent.
I’ve tried all sorts of manipulations, “save for web” while keeping transparency, exporting the layer as files while checking the option too, even completely removing the background to keep only the logo, saving the PSD and then trying to save afterwards, restarting Photoshop and my computer… It's impossible to keep the transparency, the background keeps coming back.
If you have the miracle solution, you will have my eternal gratitude..

    Hello
    Start by checking that you are in 8-bit RGB mode (image>mode)
    If you are in CMYK or indexed colors for example, it won't work

    In case, in Windows Explorer, any image, even transparent, appears on a white background
    The same goes for a browser, for example this logo is indeed on a transparent background

    When you reopen your png in Photoshop, what does it look like?
    Do you not see the transparency checkerboard?

    When we have removed the background and therefore have the transparency checkerboard visible, simply save as png or gif and you don’t need to go through save for web or check anything

      I just double-checked all that, I had the right mode. If I reopen it in Photoshop, I see my transparent background, but when I test the PNG logo in a situation (on a website) the old background comes back and I no longer have the transparency (which I had saved in various ways several times)..

        Your PSD is normal and I also saved it as a PNG with a transparent background right away.
        If you see the checkerboard in Photoshop, it means it's correctly transparent, there's no need to re-save or try other manipulations; the problem does not stem from your PNG at all.
        So it's either your site that doesn't support transparent PNGs, or your browser is reading them incorrectly.
        Save it as a GIF instead of PNG.

    I've just realized something else:
    lost for lost, I tried to give a white background to the logo to integrate it into the site. However, it shows up anywhere I put it with a light gray/beige background, but not white.
    In the PSD, I have two layers, the first with the drawing and the second with a background that I wanted to be white. While correcting a mistake with the white brush on the drawing, I realize that the corrections appear bright white on the background that is not, and that I can't change. Why is there a color discrepancy (which is supposed to be the same) between my layers? Is there a link to my problem with saving the transparent background?

      You haven't read me above, in a browser a png always appears on a light gray background if there is nothing underneath

      If you have put a white background then you save as jpeg since there is no more transparency the png has no more use

      Photoshop saves all your layers when you do save as but if they are not hidden, if you have hidden your white background it is not exported when you save, regardless of the format

      Finally, why correct with a white brush when you already have a white background underneath, if you erase on the top layer, it will reveal the white background underneath where you have erased

      Lastly, if you can't modify your background it's because it is locked, double-click on it in the palette to unlock it

        I just saw that you had very low opacity shapes that are barely visible
        the 8-bit png accepts transparency but not levels of transparency
        so you need to save it in 32-bit png via save as

        Put the address of your site with the result it gives you because the more it goes the less I understand what you want to do and where you want to put your logo

      Thank you for your answers. I will first try all of that. I just want to clarify that my layers were not hidden, and that normally, retouching with a white brush on a white background shouldn't cause such a color boundary issue (since they should be identical ..)

    Solution found, by tinkering, I'm sharing it here in case others have the same issue:
    I re-saved the file as a PDF to flatten it, then I reopen the PDF, select the background with the magic wand, delete it, and save the file for the web as PNG-24 with the transparency option checked. From there, my image appears normally with a transparent background.
    A little mix-up still unknown that I must have made during the logo creation which prevented me from saving it as I wanted.

      Glad to hear it's resolved
      Except that I downloaded your PSD, simply saved it as a PNG and of course had the transparency in Photoshop just like everywhere else
      So it’s definitely your Photoshop that has a big bug somewhere when saving, not your file which was perfectly normal and had nothing that could interfere with saving as a PNG with transparency as it was
      And it’s therefore to be feared that this problem will occur often with your Photoshop...

      But hey, happy for you if it's resolved

        You can always reset the preferences, it often solves many problems
        You hold down the alt+shift+ctrl keys
        you start Photoshop with the keys held down
        When the message appears "do you want to delete the preferences file" you respond yes
