Unable to update GARMIN Nuvi 2445

Hello,

I am unable to update the maps on my GPS.
When I attempted to update, I first went to the Garmin website, where I created an account when I purchased the GPS a few years ago.
To update the maps, I installed Garmin Express.

When I launch Garmin Express, it indicates that Garmin Express does not support this device and that I need to use Garmin Map Updater.

Noted, I download Garmin Map Updater.
I check the box regarding the license terms and conditions.
It indicates that a nüMaps Lifetime update is available... I click continue.
I check a box again on the EULA (End User License Agreement).

And then: "The update is not available for this Garmin GPS as no previous version of the map is installed." I click OK, the window closes, and I am left with my GPS with its old map...

What should I do?

    Good evening,

    GPS purchased in 2012, I updated the maps (and put a new one) in 2013 via my Garmin...
    since then, I forgot to update the map last year.

      RE, it's surprising try contacting Garmin:

      Monday to Thursday from 9 AM to 6 PM. Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM

      Hello,

      I spoke with Garmin customer service today: it was the version of Garmin Express that was "bugging";
      After updating the app version, my GPS was recognized and the map updates are being installed.
