Hi everyone
I have a problem with the game The Lord of the Rings: The Rise of the Witch-king
Actually, I managed to install the game perfectly, but when I try to launch it, it says "The CD-ROM is not found: please insert the appropriate CD-ROM and click OK to restart the application" even though the DVD is in the DVD drive. I tried using a friend's DVD, I reinstalled the game, but I still get the same error
Does anyone have a solution to help me??
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

It's because you need The Battle for Middle-earth II before playing it since your game is the expansion of that game. Next time, check behind the box; it's written there ^^

Hello,
I've been playing The Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle-earth II - The Rise of the Witch-king for almost 6 months now, but for a few days, when I choose the "Angmar" faction, the buildings no longer appear on the map (but they still exist), and from time to time, the game crashes, telling me to please excuse us... blah blah blah... please send the error report!!! I've already installed the patch!!!

Thank you

me too it did that to me but actually if they give you a menu just uninstall it and then put in the CD and if you have the menu then look for something where you can reinstall it and make it work, I hope I helped you talk to you later

Hello everyone.

I'm probably arriving after the battle, but here’s my situation and my problem. If someone has a solution…

I've looked through many of your posts and none fully address my issue.

So here it is. My brother is 12 years old and I want to play online with him. I bought him the anthology including: LBTM 1 & 2 and the expansion disk of the Sorcerer King + manual but that doesn’t matter (I read it, there's nothing in it concerning issues like this). The first two CDs work fine, they function in network mode as they should. Well, I have a GTX 7900 Nvidia and it needs to be updated and then it works.

So I install the Advent of the Sorcerer King on my PC, I enter the serial number, and the installation goes fine. It asks me to register the game, I use my previous account and everything is good. I try to play in "internet." I enter my information, hit connect, and it tells me your game is not registered, the register window is grayed out… So I uninstall the game and download the April 2007 patch, reinstall the game then the patch. So being diligent, I click on register (which this time is no longer grayed out). I type my account, my serial number, and it tells me: serial number already registered. Oh really, then I’m very happy and go to try again… I press connect and it tells me again: the game is not registered.

So every time I want to register the game on the EA Games section, it tells me your serial number is already there. (and there I scream behind my PC: I know, jerk, I did it ten minutes ago…)

So how do I get this crap to work online, please...?

Hi...

Same problem as you... I installed and registered it on one computer, then I changed my computer and now I'm reinstalling the game, I want to play online and... the game is not registered... okay, we’ll register the game again... but then EA tells us "the key has already been registered..." I'm aware of that, but can you tell that dumb game?
So we uninstall, reinstall, start over and... the game is not registered... you’re not thinking I’m an idiot, are you? So here we are stuck... it’s a bit silly really... if someone knows the solution, could we indicate it? That would be nice, thanks.

Hello, the problem is not whether the CD is in the drive or not; you need to crack the game. So you put the CD in the drive and go to "My Computer", right-click on the CD, and you will get a list. Go to "Open" and click on "Open" with the left button. A window will open showing you what’s on the CD. Then, you will click on the yellow folder that says "crack", open it with the left button, and copy what’s inside. Then paste it into the folder where you installed the game, and you will get a message saying that this file already exists. Do you want to replace it? So click on OK or Yes or Next, and there you go, you can play now.

Hi, I'm looking to exchange my CD key for Middle-earth: Battle for Middle-earth so I can play LAN parties with a friend. I don't play online.
