Hello. I'm encountering an error with my Tamron lens. It's actually error 01. When I zoom in on the lens, this error appears. But it works when the camera is in sport mode. What solution can you suggest?
P.S: I own a Canon 1100D.

Hello,
Error 01 at Canon is a communication (electronic) error between the camera and the lens.
You said that the error appears when you zoom? Do you mean it appears when you perform the action of zooming while taking the photo, or does it appear if you take a photo at a focal length other than the minimum of your lens, that is to say 70mm?
It's really curious that the camera has no issues in sports mode but has problems in the other modes... But I digress.
To go further, let's proceed step by step:
1: Checks
Put another lens on the camera body, take some photos. If the combination of body and lens has no issues, then it's not the body. If the combination also has problems, there's something wrong with the body.
Put your problematic lens on another body other than yours (if you can, in your circle, or at a photo store). If the combination of body and lens has issues, then it's indeed the lens that has a problem. If the combination has no issues, I won’t be of any help to you.
2: Return
I hope your equipment is still under warranty. If so, don’t wait and return your equipment to where you bought it. This type of error shouldn’t theoretically happen, and if the equipment hasn’t been damaged, it will be exchanged for a new one or repaired. This will be free – except perhaps for shipping costs –. If the equipment is no longer under warranty, the same method applies, but unfortunately, it will be at your expense.
Good luck, these errors are never fun and happen even with the best equipment: I myself periodically encounter Err01 with a Zeiss lens. It's less debilitating than for you but still frustrating.-
Thank you for clarifying. To answer your first question, the error occurs when I exceed 70mm. But sometimes it does nothing, and as soon as I try to adjust the blur, the error comes back.
I put on another lens, EFS 18-55mm, and it's perfect. I think the problem lies with the Tamron lens. But as you said, I will return it to the store since it’s still under warranty.
Thanks again. -

I confirm what the amateur photographer says. At Tamron, it's quite common...
The tablecloth and sometimes its replacement are not enough. Other elements of the lens such as: the positioning sensor, the motor, and also the electronic plate. In conclusion, if it is no longer under warranty, a repair, but at what cost?
Sometimes it's better to purchase another lens. Luckily for you, it is still under warranty. -
