Hello, can someone help me please? It's been at least 3 months since my Lenovo X61s laptop turns on, shows the ThinkPad logo (as usual), but after a few seconds it displays the error message (0190: CRITICAL LOW BATTERY ERROR), then it beeps and shuts down. I've tried changing the battery, replacing the CMOS battery, but nothing worked. I even tried turning on my laptop without the battery but the same problem remains. I don't know what to do anymore. Your advice would be very helpful to me, friends. Best regards.

    Hello,

This article on the Lenovo site explains why this happens and what the solution is: https://support.lenovo.com/fr/en/pagenotfound?item=http%3A%2F%2Fsupport.lenovo.com%2Ffr%2Fen%2Fsolutions%2Fht078128
You need to update the BIOS from the Lenovo site. To do this, click on the following links: https://support.lenovo.com/fr/en/downloads/ds035124 and https://support.lenovo.com/fr/en/downloads/ds035125

I hope this helps you :)

Thank you very much Daenerys_WD for your expressed interest. I just cautiously followed your advice, but one thing is still blocking me: how do I update the BIOS when the machine won't even let me start Windows? Because after displaying the message "0190: critical low battery error," the PC turns off automatically.
