Hello everyone,
I am using Windows Movie Maker to create a small slideshow of photos and I am wondering if it is possible to change the display duration of the photos once they have been inserted into the video sequence.
I had set it to 4 seconds in the "advanced settings" tab and I realize now that it is not enough. I would like to increase this time for all the photos. The problem is, now that my editing is almost finished, when I change the advanced settings, it doesn't make any difference... the changes will only apply to the future photos I will add to the video sequence.
Is there a simple solution to change the duration of my photos?
Thank you in advance,

I do it like this:
You download the latest version of Windows Movie Maker, you go to Tools (at the top) then Options... you select the Advanced settings tab and there you reduce the Duration of the photo.

GOOD EVENING
YES it's simple, place your arrow on your photo when it's in your sequence, it will turn into a hand
with your hand, gently slide to the right when it transforms into a double red arrow, left click and gently pull, you can enlarge it as long as you want.
See you!

Good evening, a little tip from a big slacker for accelerated video editing:
1_Create a first classic film with photos / effects / transitions / texts... without the soundtrack + record the video.
2_ Import this same video into a new project and reduce the timing of the whole.
3_ Repeat as desired until the desired duration is achieved.
Best regards / leloup

Hello,
I have the same problem as Gab; I created a montage (photo and video) and I want a duration of 4 seconds for all the photos. When I go to options and settings to set it to 4 seconds, there is no change in my slideshow afterward, and I have photos that last 3 seconds and others that last 5 seconds.
Can you help me?
Thank you.

PS/ TO KNOW HOW TO SPLIT, I SUGGEST you go to how to split in Movie Maker.
