Freetelec app for Freebox Solved

Question

Hello
Does the Freetelec app (Android) work for the Freebox Revolution? On the Google Play site, only the Freebox V6 is mentioned. I downloaded the app, but it doesn't detect my Freebox Revolution even though the Wi-Fi is working fine, and my Android phone (Galaxy S3) is connected to it.

I found it; it was quite simple: I just had to turn on the Freebox HD with the Free remote control :-) so that the app would recognize it the first time. I would have thought that it was possible in standby. I think the app could have mentioned it instead of displaying an obscure message...

Hello, Actually, V6 = Revolution. It should normally work without any problems. Is your Galaxy properly connected to your personal Wi-Fi? And not to your Freewifi?  -- Best regards. D£v

Yes, my Galaxy is connected to my personal network. The Free telec app starts searching for Freebox and displays: "No Freebox detected. Please check that your Freebox is turned on and connected to the network xxx (mine), you can also try disabling 802.11n Wi-Fi."

It's done; and I'm still getting the same error message. The app also offers a diagnosis: MDSN: Found 0 services HTTP1: Timeout (10) HTTP2: Timeout (10) HID: 0 Wifi: my network name

Honestly, you’d do better to use an app like Telestar that offers a remote control but also other features. Try it out and let me know.
