Hello,
I have a problem, I can no longer modify and save the changes to my Open Office files. When I modify a file and want to save the changes, this message appears: "Error saving 'filename', Error creating object, Unable to create a backup copy."
I uninstalled and reinstalled Open Office this morning (I've been having this problem since yesterday morning..) and it didn't change anything...
Can someone please help me? What should I do?
Thank you very much for the info, I am using Windows 8 and Open Office 3.4.1
Configuration: Windows 8 / Internet Explorer 10.0

I ended up finding the problem by myself like a grown-up... just now!!
Thanks for the help anyway ;) !! -
Thank you for the response. My computer is brand new (4 months old), so there's plenty of storage space available ;) Also, my files don't have any forbidden characters; I had already made several modifications to them... I don't understand why it's blocking... And it blocks on ALL the folders on my computer, all my courses..
I'm desperate; I need to work, and I can't ^^ !!
I tried creating new documents... I can save as and choose any format... it works... I continue to work... but when I want to save again, I can't, and that cursed message comes back... -
Great, I was thinking about a potential bug and I was going to guide you towards another possible solution. Let me know how you found it so others can benefit... If you have another problem, feel free to ask...

I also found out: I changed the backup folder path... Everything is back to normal!
And I learned that you should never open a .bak file to edit, OOo cannot do it, you need to rename it to a .odt or .doc file first... -
Are you sure not to introduce "forbidden" characters in your document title, like "slash" or "backslash"? That's usually the type of response it generates... Anyway, it's clear that it's not a problem with Ooo. Also, check your available space for saving...
Good luck...
