View PSD files? Solved

Question

Hello,

I'm getting back to my Photoshop activity after a break of some time, and I have accumulated an enormous number of .psd files that serve as a store of accessories for my digital compositions. However, I have no way, with Windows, to preview them, and I can't find my way through my files. Before I can spot exactly the image I'm looking for, I spend hours on it. I have to open each one individually, etc. Could someone tell me if there are viewers, or other plugins, I don't know what, just to say if it exists and possibly what it's called? After that, I can always look for who makes it, at what price, etc. Right now, I'm overwhelmed with files that I haven't named randomly, of course, but before I find the right one...

Hello, to see the PSD thumbnails you can install this software:

http://code.google.com/p/sagethumbs/downloads/list

Once installed, you will see the PSD thumbnails, which is handy for finding what you're looking for.

Just click on

sagethumbs_2.0.0.15_setup.exe
and it will install automatically.

Good evening,

I don't think there is a viewer for PSD files, but to avoid going through them one by one in Photoshop to see what's inside, a nice guy invented PSDViewer. You do need to open the images by double-clicking on them, but you can close them with just a single click. Moreover, you see them exactly as the finished image. Initially, it was created for people who had PSD files but not Photoshop, and even having Photoshop, I use it quite often...

Good evening,

My personal technique is that when I finish a Photoshop image, I save it in jpeg format in addition to the psd with the same name by using the "Save for Web and Devices" option while reducing the image size, that way I always have the Windows preview ;)
