JPEG files won't open on Mac

Hello,

first of all, let me explain my problem.
Yesterday, I took photos with my Canon 650D reflex camera, and today I put the memory card in my MacBook Pro and some .jpeg photos are not displaying, and it says: "Cannot open the file (...) It may be damaged or in a format not recognized by Preview."

Then, I tried to open it with Adobe Bridge, but it doesn't work. Neither does Digital Photo Professional (from Canon). I NEED HELP PRETTY SOON! This is not the first time this has happened and I’ve already had to delete some photos, but there are some I want to recover!

Thank you in advance!

Configuration: Mac OS X Lion (10.7.5) / Safari 6.0.4

Good evening,

A good method to import photos from a digital camera,
Simply leave the card in the camera
Connect the device to the Mac with a USB cable
On the Mac, launch the "Image Capture" application located in the Applications folder...

But if the files are corrupted from the start, that is to say on the card itself, it can fail.

Sometimes a utility can recover deleted photos from the card.
For example, PhotoRec, which by the way, does not only recover photos:
