Hello,

I am reaching out to you for help with a problem. For a work document, I created a cover page on which I inserted an image that I stretched to fill the entire space. I then placed a white rectangle on top and made it transparent (it lightens the image and allows for writing on it nicely ^^).
Anyway, I managed to create my little thing without any issues, but when I print, the layout (image + rectangle) is well superimposed but shifted on the sheet, meaning it doesn’t occupy the whole space but is very tight to the edges at the bottom and left, leaving a larger margin at the top and right. Instead of either occupying the whole sheet, which I want, or being centered, which would be the minimum. However, there are no issues when displayed on my Word version or in my PDF export. However, when I look in the print preview, the shift is noticeable.

I don’t understand why.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards.

    zikos35, hello.

argixu reported to you that you're doing unnecessary tinkering; he will never be satisfied because you insist on wanting to color the entire surface of the sheet, which the Word+printer combination does not allow.
Indeed, Word is a word processor and necessarily generates margins.
You have the choice to print your work on colored paper and switch to software that handles not text but images; only then will your printer accept printing without margins. But think about how much ink you will consume!

If I may, the margins don't bother me; you didn't read carefully (besides, I abandoned my tinkering for the proposed solutions for a similar result). It's just that the one at the bottom is simply incomprehensible since the one at the top of the page is perfectly sized.

Rest assured, I'm not slow ^^ I know very well that at a minimum there is 0.5 mm margin for the printer to hold the sheet, and even 2 cm wouldn't bother me, it's just this white part in the tray that corresponds to nothing that drives me crazy.
