unable to view print preview Solved

Question

Hello,

I'm working on OpenOffice Calc, and I can't access the preview of my table even though it does exist. I might be in read-only mode, but nothing indicates that, and when I go to "properties," I don't have the "read-only" option. I must have made a mistake at some point, but which one.............
Help please

Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.25

I had this problem tonight and I searched using your instructions.
Here’s what I did and it was resolved instantly.
Click on "Format" then on "Print Area" then on "Edit".
A window opens there;
In the first line "Print Area", select "Entire Sheet" then click "OK".
Your document becomes clear again and appears in "Print Preview".
Remember to save it again if it was previously grayed out.
Glad I solved this problem. I often use "How it Works".

Hello,
Should I understand that you do not see the icon in the Standard toolbar...?
At the end of this toolbar, click on the small downward arrow > customize the toolbar > check the preview > Ok.

The table being larger than the print page might not provide the preview...
I must admit, I never noticed this detail, but if it works, it's worth remembering! ... ^^

Good evening,
So after many wasted hours, a friend immediately understood. I can't preview or print simply because a print area selection prevents me from seeing the "background" table. It would be a bit like successive layers in Photoshop. In fact, when I "fiddled" around, I did click on "print area", and apparently it didn't do anything because I was clicking in empty space, so now my preview is empty and when I want to print, I get the message "nothing to print."
So I need to go to "format", "print area", then "clear all print areas" (because I've done it at least twice............)
I'll let you know if it worked on Monday evening after work.
