stuck toshiba laptop Solved

Question

Hello,

My parents have a Toshiba Satellite C850 108 laptop.
The computer was on, and they wiped the keyboard with a cloth.
Since then, the session is locked, the pointer is stuck, and the keyboard is unresponsive. We turned off the computer using the power button and turned it back on, but we can't do anything.
The screensaver comes on after a while.
Can you help me?

Thank you for your response.
We made progress.
My mother had closed the screen so the computer turned off. We had trouble turning it back on (my mother never knows what she’s doing to turn it back on in this case, but she did manage to turn it on).
The session opened properly this time.
When pressing the right shift key, a message about filter keys appeared. We were able to respond using the arrow keys on the keyboard.
In fact, the keyboard is working now.
It’s only the touchpad that isn’t working.

If I understand correctly, you turned off the computer without first shutting down Windows? ... ^-^
In that case, shut down Windows, unplug the computer, and remove the battery.
Press and hold the power button for a few seconds.
Reinsert the battery, plug it back in, and turn on the computer...

Oh yes, my mother is collecting nonsense today... She maliciously shut down the computer too!
I just gently turned off the computer using the keyboard, removed the battery, held down the power button for about ten seconds, and then put the battery and power supply back in, but the touchpad still doesn't work.

It's done, the problem is solved. I kept searching on the internet. I found that there is a key on the keyboard to enable and disable the touchpad. I tried it and it worked! Phew!
